Adobe Director is an authorizing tool used to create sophisticated interaction and can help to combine video, animation and sound. Often Adobe Director is used to create CD-ROMs, kiosks and games. Shockwave is a plug-in that allows your browser to display content generated by Macromedia's Director Application. Desss develops vector graphics and 3D interactivity via Shockwave 3D.
Version 8 of director includes Flash animation files. Functionality of Director’s can be extended through plug in application called Xtras. These can be bought from the third party vendors or created by the users. They can be created using Macromedia's XDK (Xtra Development Kit), a C++ SDK. All the files created by the Director, which can be viewed in a web browser using Shockwave plugin is having file extension of .DCR.
By enabling Adobe Director, Desss is created 2D and 3D Multimedia projects in a powerful, user-friendly environment that gives efficient outcomes. Director can also create stand-alone executable applications from a project, called projectors, which can be compiled for Macintosh or Windows operating systems. |
