Flex

Flex is a group of technologies released by the Adobe Systems for creation and compilation of cross-platform that is rich in Internet Applications based on proprietary Adobe Flash platform.

Initial release of Flex Software development Kit (SDK) is used for J2EE integrated applications known as Flex Data Services. Since Macromedia is part of Adobe Systems, the later releases of Flex no longer require license for Flex Data Services. They re-branded product name as LiveCycle Data Services.   •  Use styles and themes to define the visual design

  •  Add dynamic behavior (one part of the application interacting with another, for example)

  •  Build the source code into a SWF file that runs in the Flash Player
