Legacy data is profiled for duplicates, missing values, invalid codes and orphans. The resulting quality report is usually the most uncomfortable and most useful document of the project.

Successive trial loads are reconciled by record count and control totals, with errors fixed between passes. Three passes is normal; one pass means something was not checked.

Wherever possible data is corrected in the legacy system by the people who own it, so the improvement survives even if the Odoo Custom Modules and Migration timeline moves.

Business users validate their own data in the test environment and sign off, then the production load runs to a timed runbook with checkpoints, rollback criteria and final reconciliation.
