SAP Fiori Consulting Services That Modernize Your SAP User Experience
DESSS is an SAP Fiori consulting company based in Houston, Texas, helping enterprises across Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, and Irving modernize their SAP user experience with role-based, device-independent Fiori applications. As a full-service SAP Fiori consulting services provider, our certified consultants handle everything from readiness assessment and Fiori strategy to custom application development, SAP NetWeaver Gateway configuration, SAP UI5 development, Fiori Launchpad setup, and ongoing managed support, all delivered on fixed-time, fixed-price engagements so your project stays predictable from kickoff to go-live.
Organizations running SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP S/4HANA Cloud often struggle with outdated, transaction-heavy screens that slow down daily work and frustrate employees who expect consumer-grade software at the office. SAP Fiori solves this by replacing complex SAP GUI transactions with simple, role-based apps that work the same way on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone. DESSS has spent more than 20 years helping mid-market and enterprise clients across Texas plan, build, and support these Fiori environments, and we bring that same depth of SAP consulting experience to every Fiori engagement.
What Is SAP Fiori
SAP Fiori is SAP's design system and application suite for building modern, consumer-grade user interfaces on top of SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and related SAP solutions. Instead of one dense screen packed with fields and menus, Fiori breaks work into small, focused apps such as approve purchase requisitions, track sales orders, or monitor cash position, each built around a single business task and a specific user role. Every Fiori app is responsive by design, meaning the same app resizes and reorganizes itself automatically for a laptop browser, an iPad on the warehouse floor, or a phone in the field, without a separate mobile build.
Fiori apps fall into three broad types: transactional apps that let users complete a task such as creating a purchase order, analytical apps that surface KPIs and dashboards for managers, and fact sheets that give a 360-degree view of a business object like a customer or material. Underneath the interface, SAP Fiori apps typically run on SAP NetWeaver Gateway or SAP BTP, using OData services to pull and post data to the backend SAP system in real time, so what a user sees in Fiori always reflects the current state of the ERP.
Our SAP Fiori Consulting Services
SAP Fiori Strategy and Readiness Assessment
Before writing a single line of code, our SAP Fiori consultants review your current SAP landscape, whether that is SAP ECC, S/4HANA on-premises, or S/4HANA Cloud, and map out which business processes get the biggest usability and productivity gain from Fiori. We prioritize standardSAP-deliveredd apps first, since these are typically licensed and ready to activate, before recommending custom development for gaps that standard apps cannot cover. The output is a practical roadmap with sequencing, effort estimates, and a fixed-price quote, so stakeholders know exactly what they are approving before the project starts.
SAP Fiori Implementation Services
DESSS handles end-to-end SAP Fiori implementation, including activating and configuring SAP NetWeaver Gateway, setting up the Fiori Front End Server, installing the relevant business function packages, and enabling standard Fiori apps against your existing SAP backend. We configure the technical landscape, set up single sign-on, and validate that OData services return accurate data before any app goes in front of end users. Because we work on fixed-time, fixed-price terms, you get a defined go-live date and a defined cost from day one, not an open-ended time-and-materials engagement.
Custom SAP Fiori Application Development
When standard SAP Fiori apps do not cover a unique business process, our developers build custom Fiori applications using SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements, backed by custom OData services and, where needed, CDS views on S/4HANA. We follow SAP's design guidelines, so custom apps look and behave consistently with standard SAP Fiori apps, keeping the user experience coherent and shortening training time. Typical custom builds include specialized approval workflows, industry-specific dashboards for oil and gas or healthcare clients, and mobile apps for field technicians who need offline-capable data capture.
SAP Fiori Launchpad Configuration
The Fiori Launchpad is the single entry point users see after logging in, and a poorly organized Launchpad is one of the fastest ways to kill user adoption. We design Launchpad groups, catalogs, and role-based tiles so each user role sees only the apps relevant to their job, then apply your company branding, theming, and navigation structure. We also configure Launchpad spaces and pages for S/4HANA Cloud customers who use the newer, more flexible Launchpad model introduced in recent SAP Fiori releases.
Integration With S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP ECC
SAP Fiori rarely runs in isolation, so our consultants integrate Fiori apps tightly with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP ECC to keep data synchronized in real time. This includes building and optimizing OData services, connecting Fiori to third-party systems through the SAP BTP integration suite or middleware, and making sure batch jobs, workflow notifications, and approval chains behave consistently between the classic SAP GUI and the new Fiori front end during any transition period.
Roles, Authorizations, and Security
Fiori apps inherit their visibility from SAP authorization roles, so getting this wrong either locks users out of tools they need or exposes data they should not see. We design and build PFCG roles mapped to Fiori catalogs and groups, apply the principle of least privilege, and set up secure single sign-on so users are not juggling separate logins for GUI and Fiori. For clients in regulated industries such as healthcare and financial services, we align role design with your existing compliance and audit requirements.
SAP Fiori Mobile Application Development
Because every Fiori app is responsive by default, most standard apps already work on tablets and smartphones without extra development. For clients who need true offline capability, such as field service technicians or warehouse staff working in areas with unreliable connectivity, we build native or hybrid mobile Fiori apps using SAP Mobile Services and SAP BTP, with local data storage and automatic sync once a connection is available again.
SAP GUI to Fiori Migration and Modernization
For organizations still running primarily on SAP GUI, we plan a phased migration that replaces the highest-impact transactions with Fiori equivalents first, so users see quick wins early instead of waiting for a big-bang cutover. We run parallel testing between GUI and Fiori, document process changes, and provide role-specific training so adoption stays high and support tickets stay low after go-live.
SAP Fiori Managed Support and Maintenance
After go-live, DESSS provides ongoing SAP Fiori support covering software updates, OData service troubleshooting, Launchpad adjustments as roles change, and performance tuning as usage grows. Our support model includes proactive monitoring so issues are caught before end users notice them, and a defined service level agreement so you always know response times for critical Fiori outages.
Why Choose DESSS as Your SAP Fiori Consulting Company
Choosing an SAP Fiori consulting partner is a decision that affects user adoption, project cost, and how quickly your team sees a return on your SAP investment. DESSS has delivered more than 350+ successful digital projects over 20-plus years, maintains a 92 percent client retention rate, and runs every SAP Fiori engagement on a strict agile methodology with daily status updates so you always know where the project stands. Because our delivery team operates on a blended onshore and offshore model, clients typically see cost savings of up to 40 percent compared to working exclusively with large Western consulting firms, without sacrificing the quality or communication of a US-based project lead.
Unlike generic IT staffing vendors who place individual contractors, DESSS delivers SAP Fiori projects as a complete team, covering strategy, technical configuration, custom development, testing, and training under one fixed-price contract. Our consultants bring hands-on experience across SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP FICO, SAP CRM, and SAP HANA, in addition to Fiori, so we understand the backend business processes a Fiori app is meant to simplify, not just the front-end screens.
Industries We Serve
DESSS has implemented SAP Fiori for clients across oil and gas, healthcare, engineering, legal services, home services, and general enterprise sectors throughout Texas. Oil and gas clients typically prioritize mobile Fiori apps for field operations and asset management, healthcare clients focus on secure, compliant role design for clinical and billing staff, and engineering firms lean on Fiori's analytical apps for project cost tracking and resource planning.
Our SAP Fiori Consulting Process
Every DESSS SAP Fiori engagement follows the same four-stage process. First, we run a discovery and readiness assessment against your current SAP landscape. Second, we deliver a prioritized roadmap and fixed-price quote covering standard app activation and any custom development. Third, our team configures, builds, and tests the solution, including Launchpad setup, roles, and OData integration, with your stakeholders reviewing progress at each milestone. Fourth, we support go-live with hypercare, role-specific training, and a transition into ongoing managed support, so the project does not end the day users log in for the first time.

An SAP Fiori consulting company like DESSS assesses your current SAP landscape, activates and configures standard Fiori apps, builds custom Fiori applications where needed, sets up the Fiori Launchpad and user roles, integrates Fiori with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC through OData services, and provides ongoing support after go-live. The goal is a simplified, role-based, mobile-friendly interface that replaces slow, transaction-heavy SAP GUI screens for daily users.
SAP Fiori consulting cost depends on the number of apps you need, whether you are activating standard apps or building custom ones, and the complexity of your existing SAP landscape. DESSS structures most SAP Fiori engagements as fixed-time, fixed-price projects rather than open-ended hourly billing, so contact us for a scoped quote based on your specific SAP environment and business requirements.
A focused implementation activating a handful of standard SAP Fiori apps can go live in a matter of weeks, while a broader rollout covering custom development, full Launchpad redesign, and role-based security across an enterprise typically takes several months. DESSS builds a phased roadmap so early wins go live quickly while larger custom work continues in parallel, rather than making the entire organization wait for one big release.
Many standard SAP Fiori apps are included with your existing SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC license and only require activation on SAP NetWeaver Gateway or SAP BTP, though some advanced apps and BTP-based extensions may require additional licensing depending on your contract. Our SAP Fiori consultants review your license entitlements during the readiness assessment, so there are no surprise licensing costs mid-project.
SAP GUI is the classic, transaction code-driven interface used to operate SAP systems, built primarily for desktop use and requiring significant training to navigate efficiently. SAP Fiori replaces or supplements SAP GUI with role-based, task-focused apps that work consistently across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, using a simpler, more visual design that most users can navigate with minimal training.
SAP Fiori apps can run on SAP ECC through SAP NetWeaver Gateway, not only on SAP S/4HANA, though the newest and broadest set of Fiori apps is generally built and optimized for S/4HANA. DESSS regularly implements Fiori for clients still running SAP ECC as an intermediate modernization step before a future S/4HANA migration, giving users a better experience without forcing an immediate platform upgrade.
User adoption depends heavily on a clean, role-specific Fiori Launchpad and hands-on training tailored to each user group rather than generic documentation. DESSS builds role-based training sessions around the actual apps each team will use daily, provides quick reference guides, and stays engaged through a hypercare period after go-live to resolve confusion and gather feedback before it turns into abandoned Fiori apps and a return to old habits.
Yes, DESSS regularly builds custom SAP Fiori applications for industry-specific needs, including field service and asset tracking apps for oil and gas clients, clinical and billing workflow apps for healthcare organizations, and project cost dashboards for engineering firms. Custom apps are built using SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements with supporting OData services, following SAP's standard design guidelines so they look and feel consistent with out-of-the-box Fiori apps.
Yes, DESSS offers ongoing SAP Fiori managed support covering OData service issues, Launchpad and role adjustments as your organization changes, performance monitoring, and software update coordination. Support is available as a standalone service or bundled with implementation, with defined response-time commitments so Fiori-related issues do not sit unresolved and erode user trust in the new interface.
DESSS combines more than 20 years of SAP consulting experience and 350-plus delivered projects with fixed-time, fixed-price engagements and cost savings of up to 40 percent compared to large Western consulting firms, without losing US-based project leadership and daily communication. Unlike firms that place individual contractors, we deliver Fiori projects as a complete team covering strategy, development, and support, backed by a 92 percent client retention rate across our SAP practice.
