Prophet 21 Training and Change Management for Wholesale Distributors
ERP implementations rarely fail because of the software itself. They fail because employees revert to spreadsheets, manual processes, email chains, and side systems after go-live — often because the training never reflected how they actually perform their day-to-day responsibilities. Generic ERP training sessions may explain system features, but they rarely prepare warehouse teams, purchasing staff, sales reps, or finance users for real operational workflows inside Prophet 21.
DESSS delivers Prophet 21 training and change management programs designed specifically for wholesale distribution environments. We train each department based on their real-world responsibilities, workflows, and system usage within your P21 environment — ensuring employees gain practical confidence, improve adoption, and use Prophet 21 as the operational system it was intended to be. From purchasing and warehouse operations to finance, sales, and executive reporting, our training focuses on making your team productive from day one after go-live.
How DESSS P21 Training Is Structured
Role-Based, Not Module-Based
We train people on how to use P21 — not how P21 is technically organized. A purchasing manager doesn't need a tour of the purchasing module. They need to know exactly how to manage exceptions, run their daily replenishment queue, process a PO, and handle a vendor backorder — in your specific P21 configuration.
Hands-On Delivery in Your P21 Environment
Training is delivered in your actual P21 system — not a generic demo environment — so staff are building real muscle memory with the workflows they'll use from day one.
SOPs & Quick-Reference Guides
Every training engagement includes documented SOPs and quick-reference guides your team can use after the engagement closes. When turnover happens — and it will — new staff can be onboarded with documentation that matches your operation.
Change Management
User resistance is the single most common cause of ERP underperformance post-go-live. DESSS change management services identify resistance points early, engage stakeholders before and during implementation, and build the communication and training cadence that drives adoption across your organization.
Training Delivery Options

- Remote instructor-led (for refresher training and distributed teams)
