- Crystal Reports Consulting in Dallas
DESSS provides Crystal Reports consulting in Dallas for businesses that depend on Crystal Reports for invoices, statements and operational reporting. We design new reports, fix broken or slow ones, upgrade versions, and support reports embedded in ERP and custom applications.
Across Dallas-Fort Worth, many distributors, financial services firms and service companies run Crystal Reports inside their ERP or line-of-business systems. When the person who built those reports leaves, small changes can become a real problem.
We also help Dallas teams decide which reports should move to Power BI and which should stay in Crystal. See our main Crystal Reports consulting page.

CRYSTAL REPORTS SERVICES
What our Crystal Reports consulting covers
Crystal Reports often sits deep inside business systems. These are the areas we help with.
Report design and development
What kinds of reports do you build? Formatted documents such as invoices, statements, packing slips and labels, plus operational and financial reports with grouping, cross-tabs, charts, parameters and subreports.
–Invoices and statements
–Cross-tabs and charts
–Parameters and prompts
–Subreports and formulas
Fixing slow reports
Why is a Crystal report slow? Common causes are record selection that is not passed to the database, too many subreports, unindexed queries and pulling far more data than displayed. We profile the report and fix the cause.
–Record selection review
–Commands and stored procedures
–Subreport reduction
–Database indexing
Version upgrades
How do we upgrade older Crystal Reports? Older Crystal Reports versions eventually fall out of SAP support. We inventory reports, test them in the current version, fix database connections and formulas, and roll out the upgrade with minimal disruption.
